Neck and back pain can be a  big part of daily life and are some of the most frequently seen health problems in clinics today. Acupuncture for Back Pain and Neck Pain can relieve symptoms and acts to release the areas where muscles are too tight and support or tone those that are weakened by disuse

How Acupuncture Helps Ease Back Pain & Neck Pain

Acupuncture is an effective therapy for treating musculoskeletal problems such as lower back, neck and shoulder pains. It looks not just at the presenting symptoms but at the underlying condition that is causing it and then proceeds to treat both providing you with both short-term relief and long-term health and wellbeing benefits.

What Happens During Treatment?

  1.  Spend Time To Find a Clear Diagnosis
In your initial consultation, our experienced Acupuncturist will spend time diagnosing your condition, using a wide range of diagnostic tools. The main focus of this consultation will be understanding where the pain is coming from and what is causing it.
  2. Find Relief With Acupuncture
Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific sites (acupuncture points) along the body’s meridians to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of qi through the individual. Acupuncture regards most musculoskeletal problems as an obstruction if qi which is causing the pain, soreness, swelling and stiffness in muscles and joints. Acupuncture will clear this obstruction so that normal function of the whole body can be restored.
The first treatment is very gentle so as not to aggravate your condition. Once the practitioner can see how your body is responding to the treatment, they may also stimulate the acupuncture points using other methods, including moxibustion, cupping, laser therapy, electro-stimulation and massage, in order to re-establish the flow of qi.
  3. Medicine Specifically Prepared For Your Condition
Herbs play a prominent role in healing. Herbs can be dispensed as an “off the shelf” formula or our practitioners can create a formula specifically designed for you. Our clinic has a range of anti-inflammatory supplements and herbs that provide you with the relief you need.
  4. Walk away with a Plan
Our practitioner can offer you a plan for your on-going recovery and other customised programs to support your health, diet and lifestyle.
