Strategies for Overcoming Food Intolerance

Last Updated on 8 March 2024 by Brisbane Livewell Clinic

Food intolerance is nothing but the inability of the body to digest certain foods. Most often than not, we confuse food tolerance with food allergy. Food Allergy is a serious medical condition which can be life-threatening, but food intolerance is not life-threatening. The onset of symptoms of food intolerance is gradual, but they are long-lasting as compared to food allergy. This blog post will help you with overcoming food intolerance. People suffering from food intolerance may be able to eat small amounts of food without causing a reaction. Food intolerance testing can be done to check for the food item, causing a reaction.

Some Symptoms of Food Intolerance.

You may suffer from one or more of the following symptoms at the same time.

  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Bed Wetting
  • Bloating
  • Bronchitis
  • Coeliac disease
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Gastritis
  • Headaches
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Insomnia
  • Irritable bowel syndrome weight control problems and many more

Our In-House Screening Tools are being increasingly used to test for food intolerance. In this test, a drop of blood is studied under a microscope. The elements of the blood provide a clear graphic picture of the health of the person. This form of analysis reveals pre-symptomatic imbalances and helps in enhancing the wellness of an individual.

Food Intolerance can have severe side effects without the person realizing it. It is one of the causes of the increase in weight in humans. Sometimes people eat certain foods regardless of the reaction caused by it. This happens because the craving for that food overpowers the senses, and one ends up eating the very food without realizing its side effects. Certain foods have the ability to make us feel bloated. If we ingest a food item that we are intolerant to it will expand our blood vessels which in turn will allow in more water, hence increasing our weight.

Naturopathic Medicine works with nature. The most effective way to overcome food intolerance is by changing the dietary pattern. More and more people are adopting the Naturopathic way, wherein the experts provide 3 to 12-month diet/nutrition programs and supplements supporting you and assisting you to overcome weight problems and other related issues. Our experts at Brisbane Livewell Clinic help individuals to achieve their health goals every step of the way.
