Constipation is a common problem while Pregnant. The main culprit is normally hormonal imbalance. During pregnancy, you will experience an increase in the level of progesterone. Progesterone softens down the intestinal muscle so as the intestinal contractions slow down, so do your bowel movements. Another reason can be iron and vitamin supplements which can hard your stool. Some women also find that their uterus rests on the rectum which also affects the colon and bowel movements. Obviously, there are stool softeners and certain medicines to help bowel movements but it is always better to choose the natural ways to relieve your constipation while pregnant

It is really important to have regular bowel movements during pregnancy. There are certain foods that can ensure daily bowel movements during pregnancy. One of those foods is yogurt. The probiotic elements in yogurt soothe the inner lining of our stomach. It helps the digestive system and the good bacteria in yogurt helps to enhance gut activity. Yogurt fruit salad

A Sweet Treat to relieve your Constipation while Pregnant

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup strawberries
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 2 tablespoons walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt
  • 1 tablespoon prune juice
  1. 1. Melt the butter.Lightly fry the walnuts.

  2. 2. In a small bowl add Greek yogurt, prune juice, black salt, and honey. Mix smoothly with a fork.

  3. 3. Now add all strawberries, blackberries, and walnuts in a salad mixing bowl. Pour the yogurt dressing. Mix nicely.

  4. 4. Serve.
